My poor blog has been sadly neglected over the last couple of years. I can’t quite believe it’s almost two years ago that we headed off for our Copenhagen adventure. A summer of discovery and sea swimming. Coffees and Danish pastries.

Since then life has been marked in six month time periods. A return to the UK to work over the winter before returning to France for work over the summer. The exciting highlight of this was living in a yurt which I absolutely loved.

Yurt life – you can’t beat it!

At the end of the summer we took to the road and cycled two thousand kilometres. Down the coast of France from Nantes to Hendaye and then inland, crossing the Pyrenees to Pamplona and continuing via the “Camino” to Santiago de Compostela, before finally ending up in Porto. Wow! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The vibrant city of Porto – a great ending to an amazing cycle trip!

Post-cycle trip saw another return to the UK and, having been here almost six months, it is surely time to move on again. Next month will see us packing up once more and heading back to France. This time a bit further north for a summer adventure on a Normandy farm.

In the meantime I am hoping that the month of May will offer some quiet time for pause and reflection as we sit, yet again, in that space in-between where one thing is ending and the next has not yet begun. It’s a familiar place for me as I seem to spend a lot of time here. To give myself some focus I’m contributing to and joining in with a community project. The project is organised and run by Alauna Whelan of “Embrace your divine feminine nature” and you can sign up for May Magick on her website. You’ll find the prompts listed below. I am kicking off tomorrow with the prompt Botanical and if you sign up you will also be able to access a free gift from me!

Wherever you are, I wish you a wonderful May. I’d love you to drop me a line in the comments and let me know what you have planned this summer.

P.S. I’d like to apologise to any subscribers who may have received any nonsensical emails from me in the last few days. I thought I had it sorted with WordPress but unfortunately I inadvertently downloaded some demo pages included in a new WordPress theme I was looking at. My website saw these as new posts and published them, sending email notifications to all subscribers automatically. Oops!

Nice to see you writing again Elizabeth. The cycle journey is a great achievement, an inspiration. I still get regular visitors through your website to mine, several per month. Thanks for the link!

Hopefully I’ll get up to vist you in France sometime over the next few months.

Take care 🙂

Elizabeth! My beautiful, old mucker. I have been thinking about you a lot lately. Wondering where you are and what you are up to. So I wandered over here and found you. Hurray!
Sadly, it seems that we are ships that pass in the night again, as we’re heading back to the UK (and Thailand and Amsterdam) for a visit in June/July. You’ll be in France by then, I guess.
I’m still hoping you’ll make it over to Oz to see us all in the not-too-distant future.
Love as always, us 4 xxxx

Hello my lovely! Was thinking about you just the other day and wondering how life was with you all. Ships in the night indeed – We’ll be off the France early June but I’ll let you know if I’m back for any reason over the summer months. Maybe Oz in the not-too-distant future…… Lovely to hear from you again and much love to all xxx
