We’ve all heard that “from small beginnings come great things” so with this in mind I spent the best part of yesterday (a lovely sunny Sunday) potting seeds and organising a little cloche for them to live in.

It’s a bit basic but it seems to be doing the trick and heating up nicely during the day.  Hopefully it will also stay relatively warm overnight.  I’ve never used a cloche or similar before so am keeping my fingers crossed.

I’ve started with peppers and aubergines and on a whim decided to use a few pots for lavender seeds.  I realise I’m probably a little on the late side for lavender but you never know.

We’ve had herons flying overhead for the last couple of days.  Huge groups of them, chattering noisily.  Heading back east from wherever they have overwintered.  I’m taking this as a sign that spring is finally on its way.  Time to cast off the winter coats and get the sleeves rolled up for new projects and adventures.

I’m looking forward to seeing what the next few months bring ♥

What adventures and projects are you planning this spring?
